Just an ordinary classic house, a new beginning, and a story close to our hearts.
A century rustic vintage colonial house, brought back to life with a new purpose.
Nestled in the heart of Malang, Rex House is more than just a place to stay. It is an old home filled with character and history, now welcoming travellers from around the world to meet, share stories, and create memories.
Every home has a beginning. Ours began with a horse named Rex Quattro.
Rex was more than a beloved horse. He was family.
When the dream of bringing this old house back to life became a reality, Rex was sold to help make the renovation possible.
It was a difficult goodbye, but it gave this house a new beginning.
Today, his name lives on eternally in this beautiful hostel, a reminder that meaningful journeys are often built on sacrifice, hope, and love.
